Private funding

This is the issue that causes the most stress to clients. Why? Because they do not know what to expect and have near heart failure every time an invoice comes through the door! As said already, we like our clients to know what to expect from us and we do not consider it fair to give surprises. We have therefore made it a policy of our firm that every client, no matter how big or small their matter, is well informed, with the relevant costs information. This information is given from the outset so that the client is then able to make an informed decision as to whether to proceed with their matter or not:

Amongst the information you will receive is:
- the likely costs of your matter
- the likelihood of your paying the opposing party (if any) costs
- the likelihood of your recovering any costs
- the system of paying funds on account to us
- the method by which we invoice you at regular intervals

Once we are instructed, we shall keep you regularly informed as to the progress of your matter and the balance left in your client account. This then enables you to keep track of how much you are spending and make an informed decision as to whether you wish to continue pursuing your chose course of action.

Conditional Fee (no win-no fee)

We are happy to consider a no win, no fee agreement with you in any claim for personal injury. We would initially have a meeting with you for a fixed fee of £80 plus vat to discuss the nature of the accident and whether we consider that you are likely to succeed. If we consider you to have reasonable prospects of success (over 50%), then we would discuss doing your case on a no win-no fee basis thereafter and provide you with all the relevant information at that time.

Fixed fee first interview

If you consider that you may have a legal claim but are unsure what would be involved or how you should proceed, then we offer fixed fee interviews of £80 plus vat. We would arrange a meeting with you and following a discussion (and consideration of any paperwork that you bring with you), should you instruct us to proceed with your matter, then we would refund to you, the £80 plus vat off your first invoice.

Free 10 minute telephone advice

We are happy to take queries on any legal matter where you are unsure whether you may have a claim. This would be by telephone and although we would not be able to consider any paperwork, we would be able to provide you with sufficient advice to enable you to consider whether it would be worthwhile paying for a fixed fee interview.
